A Naughty in N'awlins testimonial, and Invitation

Hi, we are Mike & Suzanne from Ft. Collins Colorado. We’ve been attending Bob & Tess’ conventions for years. Each year we take groups of friends. Our friends tell their friends, who ask us lots of questions about Naughty in N’awlins. After  we returned this year we got more questions than ever from friends back home, so we thought we’d write a review on this year’s event and put it on our website – www.ladysuzanne.org.

Just so you know where we are coming from - those who know us will know that we love Bob and Tess, and we love their events, but we’re not groupies and we only put our names on something that we are personally proud of. When all is said and done, we are accountable to our friends and they would give us no end of shit if we misled them.  I want to thank Bob & Tess for supplying the pictures for our review and for putting on such a great event.

Naughty in N’awlins 2012

Another awesome event! This was our 12th New Orleans convention and they just keep getting better and better. There seemed to be a lot more people at the event this year. And a lot more energy. We’re not sure why there was a spike in attendance, but we are glad there was, because the energy was the best in years. We also met two couples who were at their 1st convention that we ended up getting to know – (one in the Biblical sense). That’s the best part about these conventions, getting to meet new people and expanding our circle of friends.

The Parade

This year, the parade was a special treat for us because we got to ride on one of the floats (that’s us on the front of the trolley car float! (0360)). I’m not sure what (or who) Suzanne did to get us up on that float but whatever it was, it was worth it. The picture is a little blurry and so was our ride. There were so many people in the parade and a sea of faces as we rode past wave after wave of people. I must have thrown a thousand beads, so much that my arm started to get tired. I even got some thrown at me. I gotta say, being in a “swinger’s parade” is something that you just can’t describe, it is a once in a lifetime experience that you have to see to believe.

The parade took us to Colette (the local on premise club). We were whisked inside behind the brass band. People were already dancing and drinking and having a great New Orleans time. We went upstairs and people were already having fun in the playrooms, so we watched for a little while before heading out for another adventure. We joined Bob & Tess in a cab and headed over to a local lounge where they were having a tribute to a great New Orleans music legend that had just passed away. There must have been over 1,000 people there to celebrate.

That’s how I want my passing to be – a big celebration, not a sad event. (But I am in no rush to get there. I am doing plenty of celebrating while I am still kicking.) I have never seen a city where music and partying was so intertwined into their culture.

Parties

One of our favorite parts of the convention are all of the parties. I’m not just talking about the theme night parties at the hotel (which were awesome!) but also the daytime takeovers at the Bourbon St Clubs. You haven’t experienced Bourbon St. until you black out a club’s windows and cram 1,000 people into one of these clubs, turn up the music and put a couple of 3 for 1 drinks in their hands. Oh, and let them know that they can take their tops off. The sexual energy is palpable.

Our favorite Bourbon St. Party was at Razoo’s. There was even a Miss Naughty in N’awlins contest from our friends at Tom’s Trips that was a lot of fun, full of some very sexy contestants. The winner will certainly have no problem representing Naughty in N’awlins.

But it’s not all debauchery, they also had some very classy Meet & Greets at a wine bar, at the Ritz Carlton and even one for those going on the upcoming Couples Cruises. We are booked for the November Cruise and we met over 20 couples that are on our deck (deck 8) alone. Bob and Tess know how to keep the energy going. There are so many parties: Bourbon St. Clubs, upscale Meet & Greets, nightly Erotic Theme Balls and of course the ones in our hotel room.

We met three very attractive ladies at the Ritz who practically begged us to let them join in, but this party is for members only. This is a hotel takeover and only NiN attendees can get in. This can be quite sad (at times like this), but it makes people feel safe and free.

Fantasy Playrooms

No one does playrooms like Bob & Tess. These playrooms are sexy and sensual. They take the time to find the perfect music, the lights are turned down to create an intimate setting and they even put in a diffuser in each room so it smells like you are in a spa (They think of everything!). There is a group room that has several large areas surrounded by rich red velvet and sheer white curtains. They add Turkish lamps, carved figurines and Asian inspired sculptures to set a beautiful Tantra theme.

Of course, the whole point in this attention to detail is to entice people to play – and there was plenty of that going on.

There is a dungeon at the end of one of the halls. Actually, there were two dungeons, one with a demonstration each night and another one that was open for anyone to come and play. They had some great furniture (for those kinky couples out there). During the day, there were classes in these rooms about BDS&M.

Suzanne and I are too chicken to play in the dungeon, but we love to watch. It is a fascinating culture. A couple of years ago one of our girlfriends asked if we would sit in on a session and give her moral support as she wanted to try it for the first time. She timidly approached, and the dungeon master (or whatever he is called) was very deferential to her newbie-ness. He slowly and patiently introduced her to the things she was interested in. Taking her to higher levels until she reached her limit, then backing off.

She came right there while chained to the St Andrew's cross. I am not kidding. She now has her own dungeon in her basement.

The atmosphere and attitudes encourage people to explore their fantasies. We love watching our friends blossom.

There was a room with white curtains and some sort of LED curtains and crystal bead curtains. For a minute, when we went in the room, we thought there was a mirror because the room was so symmetrical but it was really just an illusion (who thinks of these things for a party room?). There were other rooms with silk curtains in sumptuous colors with sheer curtains between the beds so you could see another couple (or couples) playing nearby, but there was a barrier between us. We saw some couples that moved the curtains and were actually playing with the couple in the next bed. All I can tell you is that these rooms got a lot of use and was the highlight of our weekend.

Anyway, I’m sure you can tell from the pictures that we (and everyone else) had a great time. We’ve been to a lot of conventions in a lot of different cities and we can tell you that New Orleans is the most “lifestyle friendly” city in the country.  We are already booked for next year’s event and we hope we will see you there…
